Regulations:
1. A non refundable deposit of 20% is required at the time you make your reservation. The balance is due thirty days in advance of your arrival date.
2. Any unusual cleaning charges, such as cleaning carpets, upholstery, and furnishings, will be passed on to you and taken from the damages deposit.
3. A $300 USD damage and loss deposit must be paid to the caretaker; this will be returned (minus any damages) at the end of your stay.
4. Cancellations made forfeit the 20% deposit. If a reservation is cancelled less than 14 days before your scheduled arrival, you are responsible for the entire rental rate. Cancellations must be received in writing.
5. Upon arrival, you’ll be met by a member of staff (probably the caretaker). He will give you keys and orientation. Please do not lose the keys, if you do there is a charge for the keys and the locksmith.
6. Ample parking is available in front of the house, on the property. Please be extremely careful not to kill any plants or trees when reversing out of the car port. Any damage to these will be charged to house guests.
7. Check-in time is 2:00PM; check-out time is 10:00AM. As a courtesy to other guests we ask you to leave on time – this allows us to clean the villa and get everything ship shape!
8. No refunds will be given for early departure.
9. Linens and bath towels are included and there is a washing machine for your use. Beach towels are included for your use. Please do not take the bath towels to the beach.
10. Please leave the villa as you found it. Please empty the refrigerator, staff are more than happy to receive produce.
11. No smoking in the bedrooms. Feel free to smoke in the palapa, but please do not dispose of your cigarettes butts in the yard, beach or plants. This is an eco reserve and we aim to help nature along! Please do not rest ashtrays on upholstery – burns to sofas etc. will be charged.
12. The cottage is not rented to anyone under 25 years of age. The number of guests shall not exceed 14 persons in the cottage. Arrangements can be made for visitors in the event of a wedding or meeting.
13. If we concluded the property is being used in an inappropriate manner, we reserve the right to expel the entire party with no refund.
14. Canine companions are allowed on an individual bases. If you do bring a dog, please make sure that they do not break plants or furniture. Please clean up after your animal on the beach, garden and of course in the villa (we hope that this is never needed)!
15. Books and dvds are available to use during your stay. Please ensure that these are returned and well looked after. You will be required to check a short inventory on arrival.
16. The television and dvd can only be moved to another room by a member of staff and cannot be watched in the palapa area as the salt breeze damages the internal components.
17. The pool is cleaned every day, to reduce the number of chemicals used please clean your feet of sand and dirt before getting in. Do not use sun oils and get in the pool.
18. If there are floating chlorine devices in the pool, please make sure that children do not open these and release the chemical as it stains.
